PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine which of a fingertip, a side face of a hand or a part of the palm is close to or in contact with a touch panel with high precision by evaluating a distribution shape of sensor values at a periphery of a peak sensor where a sensor value has a peak when a detection object is in contact with the touch panel.;SOLUTION: It is determined whether the fingertip is in touch with high precision by evaluating a kurtosis based upon the sensor value and sensor position at the sensor periphery where the data distribution of sensor values of the touch panel has an apex.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
