PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying a pathognomonic marker of an IgG4-related disease, distinguishing an IgG4-related disease from similar diseases, and simply diagnosing an IgG4-related disease, to elucidate the cause of disease and pathologic condition of IgG4-related disease on the basis of the marker, to establish a disease concept and to provide diagnostic criteria of IgG4-related disease.SOLUTION: The method for evaluating an affection or pathologic condition of an IgG4-related disease of a subject is based on an expression amount of one or more genes selected from a specific group in a specimen isolated from the subject or an expression amount of at least one or more proteins selected from the group consisting of protein symbol CLUS, ALTA, PEDF, DCD, and SAA4.
