PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve burst resistance and steering wheel responsiveness in a well-balanced state.SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 1 for a rally includes a carcass 6 including a folding-back ply 6A of at least one layer, and a cross-sectional substantially crescent-shaped side reinforcing rubber layer 9 for reinforcing a sidewall part 3. The side reinforcing rubber layer 9 is provided with a carcass cord of the folding-back ply 6A on both side surfaces in the tire axial direction. Moreover, the side reinforcing rubber layer 9 includes at least outer rubber 10A arranged on the outermost side in the tire radial direction and inner rubber 10B arranged on the innermost side in the tire radial direction, and the outer rubber 10A is larger in rubber hardness than the inner rubber 10B.
