PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce using materials in order to reduce weight and reduce costs, to improve a filling ability of a material into a metal mold while securing pressure-receiving strength necessary for use, and thereby to obtain a uniform molding, in a foam resin block.;SOLUTION: A foam resin block 10 for building and civil engineering comprises a block 10 of a foam resin in a rectangular parallelepiped shape, and many cavities 11 and 12 opened on at least one surface of the block 10 are arrayed and formed over the entire area of the block 10. Gourd-like cavities 11 provided with a narrowed part 11B on a center of an elliptic oblong hole are provided on both of lines adjacent to each other, and the gourd-like cavities 11 of one of the lines adjacent to each other and the gourd-like cavities 11 of the other line are arranged zigzag with each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
