PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a positive-displacement pump which is reduced in power consumption.;SOLUTION: The positive-displacement pump 1 drives a movable component 12 to change the volume of a pump chamber 8 using an electromagnetic linear actuator 3. The pump 1 allows the electromagnetic force produced by energizing the electromagnetic linear actuator 3 to linearly reciprocate a moving component 33 connected to the movable component 12 between first position 33A and second position 33B. At the first position 33A, the pump chamber 8 takes a first volume, while at the second position 33B, the pump chamber 8 takes a second volume that is greater than the first volume. The moving component 33 is moved from the first position 33A to the second position 33B in a first stroke, and the moving component 33 is moved from the second position 33B to the first position 33A in a second stroke. In the first or second stroke, the electromagnetic linear actuator 3 is subjected continuously or intermittently to energization current, the value of which is reduced in a predetermined decreasing manner with the passage of time from the start point in time t0 of the first stroke or the second stroke.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
