PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for determining capture/non-capture of a satellite signal.;SOLUTION: The method determines the capture/non-capture of a GPS satellite signal using decoded satellite orbit data (first satellite orbit data) obtained by tentatively capturing and decoding a GPS satellite signal from a GPS satellite, and acquired collation satellite orbit data (second satellite orbit data) of the GPS satellite. Specifically, the method determines whether the decoded satellite orbit data and the collation satellite orbit data satisfy prescribed approximate conditions or not and, when satisfying the approximate conditions, determines that the GPS satellite signal is appropriately captured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
