PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber sensor system having small energy loss, and a refractive index detection method.;SOLUTION: A waveguide body which guides diffracted light generated by diffracting incident laser light, while totally reflecting the diffracted light is disposed in an analyte, and a refractive index is detected on the basis of a phase change occurring in the diffracted light due to total reflection. The optical fiber sensor system comprises: a projector which emits laser light; a first optical fiber which has one end connected to the projector and guides the laser light; a long-sized waveguide body to which the other end of the first optical fiber is connected; a second optical fiber which faces the first optical fiber and has one end connected to the waveguide body; a light receiver to which the other end of the second optical fiber is connected; and an analyzer which analyzes a signal outputted from the light receiver.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
