Calibration method for automotive radar using phased array

A method for calibrating a phased array radar apparatus is provided. The calibration method includes electronic calibration of the phase shifter and compensation for mechanical misalignment. The method is particularly useful for automotive radar and may be used for initial calibration after installation on a factory line, or may be used whenever a recalibration is needed later, for example at a service station.
