PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting algae by which generation of algae is efficiently inhibited without having need of complicated maintenance nor great cost.;SOLUTION: The method for inhibiting algae includes planting submerged plants 3 having an allelopathy effect, on the water bottom 2 in a water area 1 which is a target of algae inhibition.
