PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for estimating a stress state in consideration of the individual difference and in-individual change of body motion data concerning the technique for estimating the stress state of a subject, based on the body motion data.SOLUTION: A stress state estimation device includes: a measurement means for measuring the body motion of a subject so as to acquire body motion data expressing the body motion; a calculation means for extracting a feature amount from the body motion data and calculating intermediate data; a storage means for storing relation data expressing correlation to be estimated between the intermediate data and the stress state of the subject; an estimation means for estimating the stress state of the subject through the use of the relation data, based on the intermediate data; an input means for receiving the input of consciousness stress state data expressing the stress state which is recognized by the subject; and an updating means for inductively obtaining correlation between the intermediate data and the consciousness stress state data through the use of a pair of the intermediate data and the consciousness stress state data when the consciousness stress state data is inputted, and storing the correlation in the storage means as the relation data.
