PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing apparatus and a processing method of iron/manganese-containing water that have a high rate of water recovery and can achieve stable operation of a membrane filtration device.;SOLUTION: A processing apparatus 1 of iron/manganese-containing water includes oxidant-adding means for adding an oxidant to iron/manganese-containing water that contains at least one of iron and manganese, an oxidation tank 12 for oxidizing the water added with the oxidant that is charged with an oxidation catalyst containing manganese dioxide, a membrane filtration device 14 for filtering the oxidized water using a membrane, back washing means for backwashing the membrane filtration device 14, and washing means for washing the oxidation tank 12 with backwash drain water used to backwash the membrane filtration device 14 as wash water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
