PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive roller device for earth and sand discharge, capable of preventing slippage or wear of a rod conveyor by pushing out the small stones or earth and sand that have penetrated into a rod conveyor while securing a large driving force, and also capable of reducing labor hours for cleaning the inside of the rod conveyor, and to provide a rod conveyor using the same, and a root crop harvester provided with the rod conveyor.;SOLUTION: The drive roller device 22 used for the rod conveyor 2 including a plurality of conveyor rod groups 25 erected between a pair of lateral endless belts 24 has a drive roller body 221 which is rotatably supported inside the conveyor rod groups 25 to transmit driving force to the conveyor rod groups 25.
