PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine that is suitable for downsizing thereof, with easy and high rigidity hinge configuration which does not need a connecting member with arc form connecting a rotating shaft portion of a hinge with a covering body and which does not need to have a gap between the covering body and a front surface of the washing and drying machine.;SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine of the present invention comprises a covering body 3 which can freely open and close an input opening 5. The machine is provided with a covering periphery dividing face 8 which is concentrically provided around an outer circumference from the covering body 3 and is sectioned with a sectioning line 7 and is provided with a covering supporting means 9 inside a hinge cover 10 provided by dividing the covering periphery dividing face 8. One side of the hinge cover constitutes an outer circumference of the covering periphery diving face, the other one side of the hinge cover constitutes an inner circumference of the covering periphery dividing face 8 in contiguous with the covering body 3, and the yet other two sides constitute upper end and lower end of the covering supporting means and constitute parallel lines in the opening and closing direction of the covering body 3. The outer circumference of the hinge cover 10 will get into the back side of the covering periphery dividing face 8 when the covering body 3 is opened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
