PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform character recognition processing suited to the language environment of a user using a server device that provides registered registration information, in the case where document information which is read and of which character is recognized is registered and managed.;SOLUTION: An image formation device communicates with a server device that performs specific service processing to register and manage specific document information, and to provide the managed registration information to a client device. When the image formation device reads in a script and performs character recognition processing, it acquires language information to be used from the server device. Then it applies character recognition processing to the image information read in from the script according to the acquired language information provided by the server device.
