PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and facilitate the assembly of a moving body of a base isolation device having a fall-prevention function and vertically arranged base isolation rails using the relative movement of the vertically arranged base isolation rails.;SOLUTION: The base isolation device is configured in such a manner as to fulfill the fall-prevention function with a moving body that moves in a circular long hole 33 of an outer rail and an inner rail using the relative movement of the base isolation rails made up of the vertically arranged outer rail 34 and inner rail 24. The moving body that causes the outer rail and the inner rail to make a relative movement while maintaining the interval between the outer rail and the inner rail using a flange 45 of a roller body 43 with the flange 45 intervenes between the outer rail 34 and the inner rail 24.
