PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for replacing staves for cooling a blast furnace body, which can achieve the prevention of the outflow of raw material, secure sealing, the improvement of working precision, the facilitation of the replacing operation and the reduction of cost upon replacement of a damaged stave.;SOLUTION: In the method, the steel shell of the damaged part in a blast furnace body is fused and cut, a renewal stave unit is superimposed and arranged at the position thereof, next, the unit is pressurized to the inside of the furnace including the steel shell of the damaged part and the damaged stave and by pressurizing them into the furnace, replacement of the staves is performed. In the method, as the renewal stave unit, the one, obtained by beforehand performing assembling in such a manner that a renewal steel shell with a seal plate, a renewal stave and a refractory therebetween are arranged, is used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
