PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic strengthening construction method and a seismic strengthening frame which can maintain a reinforcement effect by suppressing the outward bending deformation of a reinforcing column facing an existing column, when the existing column causes a shear fracture and is displaced in the axial direction by an earthquake.;SOLUTION: When reinforcing columns 22 are installed up to an Nth story where N is an integer to construct a seismic strengthening frame 20 from lower stories to upper stories while connecting a frame portion in an amount of one story sequentially to an existing building 10, the height of the Nth reinforcing column 22 installed at the Nth story is set to a dimension larger than the height of an existing column 12 at the Nth story. The portion of the Nth reinforcing column 22 facing the upper part of the existing column 12 at the Nth story is connected to the upper part of the existing column 12 at the Nth story, and the upper end 2202 of the Nth reinforcing column 22 is joined to the portion of the existing column 12 positioned further upward than the existing column 12 at the Nth story with mortar M so as not to be moved in the direction approaching that portion and so as to be moved in the direction away from that portion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
