PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breakthrough time prediction method of non-regenerative ion-exchange resin device with high prediction accuracy, and a maintenance method for an ion-exchange resin device based on the method.;SOLUTION: A method to predict breakthrough time of a non-regenerative ion-exchange resin device 2 with a column filled with an ion-exchange resin includes: a step for arranging the non-regenerative ion-exchange resin device 2 in parallel with small-sized resin columns 3A and 3B with smaller columns than the column filled with ion-exchange resins identical to the ion-exchange resin; a step for running processed water through the small-sized resin columns 3A and 3B; and a step for predicting the breakthrough time of the non-regenerative ion-exchange resin device 2 based on data of the processed water of the small-sized resin columns.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
