PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing colored resin particles (electrostatic charge image developer) that can manufacture colored resin particles having a uniform particle size in a stable manner and reduce energy required for manufacturing.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing colored resin particles at least comprises: a step of preparing an oil phase containing at least a binder resin and a colorant dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent; a step of preparing an aqueous phase containing a resin A and a basic substance dissolved in an aqueous medium; a step of preparing a core particle dispersed liquid in which a core particle consisting of the oil phase is dispersed by dispersing the oil phase into the aqueous phase; a step of attaching a resin fine particle to the core particle by pouring a liquid in which the resin fine particle is dispersed into the core particle dispersed liquid to prepare a particle; a solvent elimination step of eliminating the organic solvent from the particle dispersed liquid obtained by the step of attaching the resin fine particle; a washing step of washing the particle after the solvent elimination step; and a drying step of drying the particle after the washing step.
