PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate a performance of a musical instrument even without using a database exclusive for point rating.;SOLUTION: Channel for evaluation determination means 75 determines a MIDI channel for evaluation, corresponding to a musical instrument 26 to be used for a performance. Conversion means 76 converts note information belonging to the MIDI channel for evaluation in MIDI data of a Karaoke musical piece stored in a Karaoke DB 75 into evaluation reference data in a prescribed format according to the note information. Discrete evaluation means 77 performs discrete evaluation to musical instrument sound by comparing a feature quantity of sound to be obtained from a frequency analysis result of musical instrument sound to be input from the musical instrument 26 with a feature quantity of sound to be shown by the evaluation reference data converted from the MIDI data. Performance evaluation means 80 compares the sound determined in the discrete evaluation and its output timing with the sound determined by the MIDI data concerning the performance of the Karaoke musical piece and its output timing, and evaluates skills of the performance of the musical instrument 26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
