Producing silicone coatings and silicone moldings comprises providing a photocrosslinkable silicone mixture which contains (A) polyorganosiloxane(s); (B) organosilicon compound(s) containing at least two silicon-hydrogen functions per molecule; and a cyclopentadienyl-platinum complex catalyst which can be activated by light of 200-500 nm; heating the photocrosslinkable mixture to 40-250[deg] C; and irradiating the silicone mixture with light having a wavelength of 200-500 nm, where the mixture is crosslinked. Producing silicone coatings and silicone moldings comprises: (1) providing a photocrosslinkable silicone mixture which contains (A) polyorganosiloxane(s) of formula R 1 xR 2 ySiO ( 4 - x - y ) / 2(I); (B) organosilicon compound(s) containing at least two silicon-hydrogen functions per molecule; and (C) a cyclopentadienyl-platinum complex catalyst which can be activated by light of 200-500 nm; (2) heating the photocrosslinkable mixture to 40-250[deg] C; and (3) irradiating the silicone mixture with light having a wavelength of 200-500 nm, where the mixture is crosslinked. R 1 : monovalent, optionally halo- or CN-substituted, C 1to C m-hydrocarbon radical which is optionally bonded to silicon via organic divalent group and contains aliphatic C-C multiple bond; R 2 : monovalent, optionally halo- or CN-substituted 1-10C hydrocarbon radical which is bonded via SiC and is free of aliphatic C-C multiple bonds; x : non-negative number such that at least two radicals R 1are present in each molecule; and y : non-negative number such that (x+y) is on average of 1.8-2.5.
