For organic electroluminescent device consisting of a silicon-containing four-membered ring compound material and to provide an organic electroluminescent device using the same. It is an organic electroluminescence element material comprising a compound represented by the following formula (1), and is used in the light emitting layer or the like containing a phosphorescent dopant in the organic electroluminescence device. Wherein, X represents a nitrogen or phosphorus, L represents a n + 1 valent aromatic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic heterocyclic group, and at least one is an aromatic heterocyclic group. A ₁ ~A ₆ is an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aromatic hydrocarbon group, an aromatic heterocyclic group or an amino group, n represents an integer of from 0 to 3.
