PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating corrosion resistance of a metal material and a corrosion acceleration testing device of a metal material for performing the method of evaluating corrosion resistance having high correlation to corrosion of a steel plate mating unit of an actual vehicle by using a plane test piece to which no steel plates are overlapped. PSOLUTION: Corrosion resistance is evaluated by performing, for at least once, each process of a process (A) of adhering salt content by allowing the salt water including a chloride ion to abut on the surface of the metal material, and a process (B) of performing a cycle for at least once, where one cycle comprises repetition of a drying process and a wetting process of changing temperature and relative humidity for setting within a range of 0-18 vol.% oxygen concentration in atmosphere in the wetting process for a metal material.
