PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of predicting a diffusion state etc., of chemical species in concrete with high precision for a long period without measuring concentration of the chemical species in the concrete.SOLUTION: There is provided the prediction method for a long-period diffusion state of the chemical species in the concrete based upon a short-period diffusion state, the prediction method for the diffusion state of the chemical species in the concrete including at least processes (A) and (B). The prediction method includes: a permeation distance measuring process (A) of exposing the concrete to the chemical species for a short period to make the chemical species permeate the concrete, and coloring the chemical species to measure a permeation distance of the chemical species; and a concentration calculation process (B) for chemical specifies of finding a coefficient of a regression equation using the permeation distance and permeation period, then finding a prediction equation which is a chemical species concentration prediction equation using a solution of a diffusion equation based upon a Fick's second law, and has a diffusion coefficient relation equation including the coefficient and having a variable of time in one term, and calculating a concentration of the chemical specifies at an arbitrary distance and time using the prediction equation.
