Disclosed is an agent for ameliorating postprandial hyperglycemia, which contains a pyrrolidine iminosugar represented by general formula (1) or a salt thereof. (In the formula, R1 represents an alkyl group which may be substituted by a group that is selected from the group consisting of an aryl group, a hydroxy group and a protected hydroxy group; R2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an imino-protecting group; and R3, R4 and R5 may be the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxy-protecting group.)
