PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the production of a tin-plated steel sheet, by which the surface appearance or the close adhesion of a coating is inhibited from being deteriorated by the surface oxidation of the tin-plated layer and a chemical conversion treatment can be performed inexpensively; a tin-plated steel sheet; and a chemical conversion treatment fluid.;SOLUTION: The process for the production of the tin-plated steel sheet comprises forming a Sn-containing plating layer on at least one side of a steel sheet so that the coating weight of Sn becomes 0.05 to 20 g/m2 per side, subjecting the plated steel sheet either to dipping in the chemical conversion treatment fluid containing aluminum primary phosphate in an amount of exceeding 18 g/L and up to 200 g/L and having a pH of 1.5 to 2.4 or to cathodic electrolysis in the chemical conversion treatment fluid at a current density of 10A/dm2 or below, and then drying the resulting steel sheet to form a chemical conversion coating.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
