PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guiding method for allowing a driver to select a route for utilizing finite road resources.;SOLUTION: A center 20 calculates a plurality of recommended routes from a departure allowable time and an arrival allowable time or the like. Even when there exists only one route (road) connecting a departure place to a destination, the center recognizes that there exist a plurality of recommended routes as long as there exist a plurality of cases that "departure scheduled time is within a departure allowable time zone, and arrival scheduled time is within an arrival allowable time zone." Furthermore, on the basis of a value corresponding to the change of the degree of congestion of each of the recommended routes to be brought about as a vehicle 30 passes each of the plurality of recommended routes, the center calculates the degree of recommendation (point) about each of the recommended routes.
