PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control server or a similar central processing unit that manages distribution of data, audio, and control signals among a plurality of system components connected through a wired and/or wireless communication network.SOLUTION: A user can access and control system components with a portable controller 108 from all places in a controlled residential environment and/or non-residential environment 100 including a peripheral area. One or more control macros can be structured so as to control operations and/or functions of the system components. The control macros include a plurality of commands for allowing the control server to control the system components. The control macros can be manually started by a user or automatically executed when a start parameter is generated. The control macros can be automatically specialized for application with specific context.
