PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan-type insect pest control apparatus suitably used put on a user's body and excelling in insect pest control performance.;SOLUTION: The fan-type insect pest control apparatus is adapted to suck air from an air suction port 6 by driving an axial flow fan 3, to allow the air to flow through a chemical carrier 2 to obtain air that contains an insect pest control component, and to eject the air from an exhaust port 7 to dissipate the insect pest control component into the air. The suction port 6 is opened in an axial direction upstream of the axial flow fan 3, and the exhaust port 7 is opened in a radial direction downstream of the axial flow fan 3. The apparatus further includes an annular wall 8 surrounding the axial flow fan 3, and an air flow passage 9 serving for communication between the exhaust port 7 and a discharge part of the axial flow fan 3.
