PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously cast high Mn steel having a C content of 0.1-1.1% and a Mn content of 10-30% using mold flux for suppressing reaction with molten steel in a cast mold, enabling stable operation, and keeping good surface quality of a cast billet.SOLUTION: There is provided the mold flux for continuous casting of the high Mn steel having a Mn content of 10-30%. [(MnO)/(Mn)], the ratio of the MnO content of the mold flux for continuous casting to the Mn content (Mn) of the high Mn steel is 0.25-1.2, and the basicity, (T.CaO/SiO2), is 0.80-1.6.
