PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an abnormality of an accelerator opening sensor without using the accelerator opening sensor for abnormality detection.;SOLUTION: A device 10 for detecting the abnormality of the accelerator opening sensor for detecting the abnormality of the accelerator opening sensor for detecting the operational quantity of an accelerator pedal of a vehicle includes an accelerator opening data collecting means 11a for collecting accelerator opening data outputted by the accelerator opening sensor in a time-series manner, a traveling state data collecting means 11b for collecting the traveling state data which are synchronized with the accelerator opening data and capable of indicating the traveling state of the vehicle outputted by the traveling state sensor, a determining means 11c for determining whether or not the accelerator opening data collected by the accelerator opening data collecting means 11a and the traveling state data collected by the traveling state data collecting means 11b satisfy s predetermined relationship corresponding to the abnormality, and a notifying means 11d for notifying the abnormality of the accelerator opening sensor when the determining means 11c determines that the relationship corresponding to abnormality is satisfied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
