Systems, methods, and devices of the various embodiments provide thermoset (or thermoplastic)/carbon nanotube (CNT) sheet nanocomposites fabricated by resistive heating assisted infiltration and cure (RHAIC) of a polymer matrix resin. In an embodiment, resin infusion may achieved by applying a first lower voltage to a CNT reinforcement. Once the resin infusion process is complete, the voltage may be increased to a second higher voltage which may rapidly cure the polymer matrix. In an embodiment, an epoxy SC-85 and hardener may be used. In another embodiment, present a bismaleimide (BMI) may be used for the matrix material.
