Described herein is a closure for the reduction of spray and splash when substances such as tomato ketchup and other substances are being squeezed out of a container. In one embodiment of the invention, the closure has a chamber, a pliable structure that has an opening for substances to flow into the chamber, and an outlet. The invention, allows the substances from the container to be squeezed out in a smooth flow, resulting in significantly reduced spray or splash.
