An objective of the present invention is to present an optimal information system in accordance with build requisites which a user desires. An information system building assistance device includes: a selection screen presentation unit which presents a screen whereupon is selected a requisite term group which is disposed according to a specified task requisite; an input screen presentation unit which presents a screen whereupon parameters of the requisite term group are inputted; a system model selection unit which selects a system model which satisfies the build requisite based on the parameters; an operation information acquisition unit which acquires, on the basis of a selected system model group, operation information of an existing system; a performance evaluation unit which, using the parameters of the operation information, evaluates the performance of the selected system model; and a build candidate presentation unit which presents an information system which is buildable using the system model produced after determining a sizing factor for the selected system model by comparing the result of the evaluation and the building requisite.
