An additive for reclaiming asphalt of the present invention, which is obtained by adding straight asphalt to a mixture of a waste animal or vegetable oil and a waste mineral oil having a kinematic viscosity at 60° C. of 10 mm²/s to 40 mm²/s, mixing the materials, and heating the resultant mixture to remove an aromatic component. The additive for reclaiming asphalt can restore the physical properties of a deteriorated asphalt component to the same or greater extent than that of a conventional additive for reclaiming asphalt, and the additive has low content of components that may affect the environment or humans, and high fluidity at room temperature, and is available at an extremely low cost.
