Cleaning solvent and paint thinner, solvent based composition, and method for cleaning or diluting a solvent based polymeric composition - this invention relates to a cleaning solvent and a paint thinner for coatings and resins based on solvents selected from compositions of formula (i). Where R1 is a C1-6 alkyl, phenyl or benzyl group, R2 is carbon atoms, and n = 1-4; and mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to a solvent based composition including a solvent based polymer and the zero or low voc content composition of the present invention; and a method for cleaning or diluting a solvent based composition.
