An improved base brick row is described which includes a first row with first blocks and a second row with second blocks. each of the first blocks includes a first opening extending through the block of a first surface to a rear surface and a second opening formed through an upper surface of the block extending to the first opening. the first blocks are arranged on a substantially flat surface to align with the respective first openings to define a first passageway. each of the second blocks includes a third opening extending through the second block from an upper surface to a lower surface. the second blocks are arranged above the first row to align the third opening of each of the second blocks with the second opening of the first blocks to form a second passageway.
