The present invention relates to a method of making and processing documents with bar code, particularly for electronic prescription of medicaments wherein a physician provides a document with clear input data as well as with encrypted form thereof, whereupon the document is transferred to a place of processing where it is decoded. The invention is characterized in that the document clear input data is first encrypted in dependence on predefined coding parameters determining location of the input data, protective elements in encrypted form and algorithms of a coding block (2) in a single chain.. After reading the chain bar code by sensors, this chain is divided for the transfer thereof onto the document, optionally through a storage medium (14) or a cellular phone in the form of a SMS or MMS, into several chains of a determined length. A differentia being selected from the group consisting of individual combined large and small alphabetic characters, numeric characters and punctuation marks is then added to a predefined position of each chain. All the chains are the printed in the form of a bar code onto the document, which is brought in the place of processing by a patient or which is sent off to the place of processing via the storage media (14). At place of processing, the encrypted chains are read such that the differentia of each read chain as well as the length of the respective chain is tested. The encrypted data are composed into one chain without differentia a subsequently, after decoding in a decoding unit (9), the data corresponding to the clear input data is handed over to a receiver for his disposal in further processing. An electronic information system for making the above-described method comprises an information system (15) of issuer of bar coded documents, interconnected with an information system (17), of a receiver of bar coded documents, whereby both the information systems (15, 17) are preferably connected with a block (18) of communication means (16) and a storage medium (14).
