The invention relates to thermosetting elastomer compositions based on modified polycyanurate, process for preparing such elastomeric compositions, and their use. These compositions are prepared by a polymerization process in the presence of a catalyst of a mixture comprising at least: a cyanate, a block copolymer and a mineral filler capable of reacting with the cyanate at a temperature higher than the melting temperature of the cyanate or melting temperature of the block copolymer, but lower than 130 degC, wherein the polymerization process is carried out at a temperature ranging from 130 to 170 degC, and post-curing the polymerized mixture at a temperature not lower than about 200 DEG C to complete the reaction. The invention also relates to the use of the composition, particularly its use in electrical engineering and electronics, as a coating for rollers, in particular of printing machines and as an encapsulant for semiconductors.
