The facade system has a support structure that is formed from profile element. The plate-shaped facade elements (53) are retained by the support structure. A light element (10) is arranged at a side of the support structure, where the side of the support structure faces the building. The light element is arranged on the surface of profile elements of the supporting structure. An independent claim is also included for an emergency lighting system for providing emergency lighting in rooms or hallways of a building.
