The invention relates to means for testing power transmission of heavy-duty vehicles, in particular, to running-in and testing gearboxes, mainly hydro-mechanical ones (HMGB), without loading the HMGB output shaft, and solves the problem of increasing the accuracy of setting the devices to be tested. A stand for running-in and testing gear boxes, preferably hydro-mechanical ones, comprises a support frame (1) with two mutually orthogonal pairs of guides - a stationary lower pair (3) and an upper mobile pair (4). The upper guide pair (4) is a carrying pair for a protection screen (7) of the HMGB output shaft and for support racks (5) of gear box to be tested, each guide (4) has a longitudinal groove for moving the support rack (5) and fixation of its position. Each support rack (5) has a bearing frame (26) with a bracket kinetically connected with the upper guide (4) for setting a HMGB to be tested and adjusting its position by height using a displacement drive flywheel (29) coupled with a screw guide (28) via a thrust bearing (30) with a spherical seating ring to pass only the load axial component onto the support rack (5), that eliminates the appearance of parasitic torques. An actuating motor (9) is mounted on a frame (8) providing an interconnection with the HMGB input shaft (13) and has a protective casing (10) which consists of a stationary part (11) and a movable part (12) adapted to move under the stationary part (11) and embrace a part of the HMGB input shaft. An optical device for control of the position of protective casing (10) and connection of the drive motor (9) with the HMGB input shaft (13) is mounted on the inner surface of the movable part (12). A computerized system of control and monitor with a control board (24) is connected to a sensor unit for measuring parameters to be tested, for example membrane, the sensors are mounted on the frame (8) in an isolated case (25) and provided with flexible hoses for connection with technological openings of HMGB working organs, that eliminates the influence of operating fluid hydrodynamic shocks on sensitive elements of sensors. Characteristics of HMGB under running can be determined upon loading the HMGB input shaft just from the drive motor (9).
