The present invention relates to methods of treatment using [3- (4- {2-butyl-1- [4- (4-chlorophenoxy) phenyl] -1H-imidazol-4-yl} phenoxy) propyl] diethylamine (compound I) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt. In various embodiments, treatment methods include treating mild to moderate dementia such as Alzheimer's, diabetes, insomnia, and other indications. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising Compound I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
