The floor gully insert comprises a cup member (10) insert-able into a floor gully and having a bottom (12), sidewall (14) and drain connector (16). The cup member is made of metal, preferably stainless or acid resistant steel. The insert may comprise a drain trap (20) which is removably fixable to the cup member, and fixing means for fixing the drain trap.
