The manufacturing method comprises: conducting the interference assembly of the cam piece (1) and the mandrel (2) while conducting the quenching heat treatment on the cam piece (1) that is installing the mandrel (2) into the heated and expanded cam piece (1) at the heating stage during the quenching heat treatment then quickly cooling the cam piece (1) installed with the mandrel (2) at the cooling stage during the quenching heat treatment thus obtaining an assembled cam shaft. The present method achieves interference assembly between the cam piece (1) and the mandrel (2) satisfies the anti rotation torque of the cam piece (1) relative to the mandrel (2) while ensuring the surface hardness of the cam piece (1).
