The present invention relates to a process for preparation of chitosan encapsulating ellagic acid nanoparticles coated with surfactants. In particular, the present invention relates to methods for preparing brain targeted nanoparticulate drug delivery system using biodegradable polymer via double coating technique. More particularly, the invention relates to the enhancement of memory by the use of ellagic acid nanoparticles.
