pThe present invention relates to novel hybrid nanocomposites with improved flame retardancy, improved mechanical properties and improved barrier properties. Additionally, the present invention relates to the use of a hybrid nanocomposite for the production of moulded and extruded articles based on a hybrid nanocomposite according to the invention as well as to mould and extruded articles comprising the inventive hybrid nanocomposites.
