The invention relates to vehicle traffic control systems, in particular to processes and devices for monitoring the observance of road traffic rules, including the observance of speed mode.The proposed process provides for the coprocessing of signals from a radar and a panoramic video camera. The data flows, received from the video camera and radar, are used independently, afterwards they are compared and data are received about the speeds and coordinates with a low probability of error upon identification of the vehicle, which commits the violation.The device for implementation of the proposed process consists of a radar with a signal processing module, providing for the calculation of the speed and distance of all vehicles, present in the selected area of the roadway, and a panoramic video camera.The technical result consists in that the proposed process and device for its implementation provide for the reduction of error probability upon identification of a vehicle, which commits the violation, increase the extent of the traffic speed mode control zone to several hundreds - thousands of meters, allow to significantly reduce the cost of construction and maintenance of racks for the installation of speed mode control devices.
