The FRICON SYSTEM © of the Mexican patent MX 189803 has been successfully used for many years, but difficulties have been observed in the installation of the FRICON © system in bridges with clearances higher than 30 m, where FRICON results of excessive weight to be transported and mounted, since loads are of from about 400 kg to 500 kg. Considering the aforesaid, it concluded that the weight reduction of the FRICON would solve the problem. An improvement of the present application over the Mexican patent MX 189803 refers to the replacement of a couple of original fricons of 400 kg by two or more pairs of fricons of reduced weight. On the other hand, the bars of special steel with nuts and washers that provide the normal strength required in the connection, may effectively replace the strand segments of the original patent.
