The present invention is related to the textile industry in general; particularly the invention refers to a system and method for printing high resolution images in textile materials, preferably bed cloth such as sheets and pillow cases, using an improved technique of sublimation, where an arrangement of color profiles is generated in printers, for carrying out the pre-sublimation printing and the sublimation process so as to have the possibility of choosing affordable inks and transfer paper of better quality and pressure that will offer excellent results of sublimation, and where the equipment intended to improve the sublimation consists in a calender with a heat emitting cylinder heated by recirculating hot oil for generating high, constant and uniform temperatures in the whole surface of the cylinder; consequently, the combination of this innovation along with the use of high temperatures enables the solid ink to be transformed into gaseous state in a better way, also obtaining br ighter colors that highlight the quality of the images, achieving high definition images of 720 dpi to 1440 dpi in the textile material.
