摘要

The present invention is related to the process for hardening an aluminum-based matrix alloy by the dispersion of zinc by the agitation in liquid state. By this means, the impregnation (wettability) of Zn particles (reinforcing phase) is increased, facilitating the homogenous distribution in the aluminum-base matrix alloy. Different Zn compositions were used to manufacture some aluminum-based alloys. Presented is a study regarding the hardness and density variation as a chemical composition function of the modified alloy. The main purpose of the invention is to increase the mechanical properties of aluminum or aluminum-based alloys by the process of hardening by dispersion, without affecting the density of the alloy improved by the process.
